Jay Leno’s Theater Ads

“The Jay Leno Show” on NBC is playing ads at movie theaters. The ad is currently running on more than 15,000 screens (but only before movies with a PG-13 or R rating, NBC has a tamer Leno clip reel ad for kiddie films). It co-stars Fred Armisen and gives a hint at the sort of sketches Leno could be doing on his new 10 p.m. show this fall.

Questions About God

This is the kind of questions that Park Community Church answers head on in their teaching and classes.  I love it!

If It Is August, It Must Be Shark Week

If it is August, it must be time for Shark Week on the Discovery Channel.  I love this show (although with four kids I don’t get to watch as much as I like). 2009 Shark Week schedule begins August 2nd and the SharkWeek schedule gets underway on Sunday evening, with two interesting shows aimed at kicking off the week in Discovery Channel fashion.     SharkWeek 2009 is the latest installment of what has become a yearly event for the Discovery Channel, who has almost become known as the shark experts of television. The 2009 Shark Week schedule will have documentaries, films that include sharks as integral characters, count downs of the deadliest sharks, and even programs designed to look at what makes a shark”tick”. For fans of sharks, the 2009 Shark Week schedule is going include something for everyone.

The 2009 Shark Week premiere really starts with the two hour premiere of Blood In the Water. This takes place on Sunday, August 2nd at 9:00 P.M. PST and EST. Blood In the Water is the true story behind the bloody shark attacks of 1916, and the true story behind the inspiration of the movie Jaws. Depicted is a nine foot shark that cruises just off the New Jersey shore, and which causes havoc to everyone visiting the New Jersey beaches that year. In shark infested waters, people have begun swimming for the first time, and it presents a prey to sharks that they have never seen in the water before. What this leads to is a realization and confrontation both scary and unnerving.
