Supermajority: Potential Impact
Wow- this was sobering….I am a free market entrepreneur and even I did not think about all the government intervention in our lives if either party gets a supermajority (including more than 60 votes in the Senate that makes all legislation filibuster-proof).
a filibuster-proof anything is nothing that the founding fathers would have dared to set in motion. There is, however, a way to bust it… just refuse to comply. IF every one of the wealthiest people simply refused to pay the higher taxes, would the government actually throw 3 million millionares into prison??
