I am a big cycling fan and am watching with interest the Floyd Landis doping hearing….For total coverage of the Landis affair, check out the #1 internet source …Trust But Verify

Here comes Lemond, stage left….I ask myself, what sort of media circus we will see as the USADA brings Greg Lemond up to testify?

1.. Will he testify that he talked to Landis after the announcement last year?
2. What would have been said in THAT conversation?
3. What can Lemond possibly add to the proceedings?
4. Does Greg Lemond believe in his own mind that HE is the only athlete ever to win multiple Tour de France races without doping?

Tomorrow we see as 3-time Tour winner Greg LeMond is expected to           testify in the arbitration hearing of Floyd Landis, the 2006 Tour champion accused of doping. LeMond, who won the Tour de France in 1986, 1989 and 1990 is expected to appear in the afternoon before a three-man panel of the American Arbitration Association that will rule on the case put by the US Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) against Landis.

Upon hearing last July that Landis had tested positive, LeMond said he was “devastated.” At the time he said that he had believed Landis to be clean. “The problem is the sport is corrupt and it corrupts everybody,” LeMond said last year. “You will always find riders who transgress the laws. I really did believe Floyd was not among them, that he was clean. Hopefully, he will be able to step up and tell the truth.” LeMond then went on to praise the work of the International Cycling Union, Tour organizers and the anti-doping laboratories.
